If your KYC verification isn’t going through, it usually means one of the required documents wasn’t accepted or didn’t meet the guidelines. Deed’s verification process has two steps, both must be completed successfully:

Step 1 – Identity Document

You can use:

  • Passport

Guidelines for a successful upload:

  • Use good lighting, avoid dark areas or glare.

  • Avoid reflections, do not use flash or stand under direct light that reflects on the document.

  • Make sure it’s sharp and in focus, no blurry or smudged areas.

  • Keep the document straight, no tilting more than 10°.

  • Upload a clear, colored photo of the original document, no black & white, no edits.

  • No screenshots, only live photos of the actual document.

  • All details must be fully visible, no cropping or covering.

Step 2 – Proof of Address (POA)

Your POA must:

  • Show your full name and full address (street, city, country)

  • Be issued within the last 3 months (except tenancy contracts or title deeds if still valid)

  • Show the date of issue

  • Display the name or logo of the issuing authority

  • Be complete and legible

Accepted documents:

  • Bank documents: bank statement, credit card statement, or official bank letter (last 3 months)

  • Utility/telecom bills: electricity, water, gas (last 3 months)

  • Mobile operator bills (last 3 months)

  • Lease contract (last 3 months) or valid tenancy/title deed

Not accepted:

  • Screenshots

  • Purchase receipts

  • Medical bills

Common reasons for KYC failure

  • Document photo is blurry, too dark, or has reflections

  • Using a screenshot instead of a live photo

  • Document is expired or issued more than 3 months ago (for POA)

  • Name or address on the POA does not match your application

  • Document is cropped or partially visible

  • Uploading an unsupported document type
